Love on a Leash
On March 26th, we hosted the Love on a Leash pups at the library. Lots of people came out to see the dogs and read to them. This is a great program for all ages. Their next visit will be Thursday, April 25th at 3:30 pm. Plan on spending some time with the pups!

The library is conducting a survey of our service area to see what is important to our customers and what they would like to see in the future. Monday the 29th
Roblox – Roblox computer games from 3:30-4:30 pm. There are only 2 computers here for kids to use, so you are encouraged to bring your own device. This program is appropriate for ages 8-12!
Tuesday the 30th
Creation Station– Creation station from 3:30-4:30 PM. We have Legos, coloring, origami, quilling, and a cute snowman craft! This program is appropriate for kids ages 6 and up!
Wednesday the 31st
Open Hour – Kid, Tween, and Teen Open Hour. This is an opportunity to choose your own activity at the library. You can color, do an art activity, play a game, or catch up with friends
Thursday the 1st
Perler Bead Club – Perler Bead Club from 3:30pm-4:30pm. Perler Beads are plastic fusible beads. The beads are arranged on pegboards to form patterns and then fused together with an iron by a library assistant. This program is appropriate for kids ages 8 and up.
Friday the 2nd
(MS) Dragons of the Caribbean – Dungeons and Dragons Club – Dragons of the Caribbean – Dungeons and Dragons Club from 3:30pm-5:30pm. This program is appropriate for ages 11-15. There is a 15-person limit, so you need to register in advance for this club.
Upcoming Events
Books & Babies – Books & Babies, sponsored by the Parents As Teachers Group on February 5th from 10:15 – 11:00 AM. This activity is for children ages 0-4 and their adults. Join the group for story time, singing, nursery rhymes, finger plays, craft and snack.
Fiction Addiction – Fiction addiction on February 21st at 2:00pm. This month we will be discussing the book Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. Copies of the book are available for check out.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SERVING ON THE LIBRARY BOARD?
The Belle Plaine Library Board is seeking dynamic, creative individuals who live in the city limits to serve as Library Trustees. Anyone with a sincere commitment to the library and the ability to represent it well in the community is a perfect candidate.
The library is an important educational and recreational hub in our community. Library Trustees are responsible for driving the library into the future. If you are a creative and dedicated individual who can commit some time and expertise, we need you! No experience necessary and training will be provided.
The Library Board meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM at the library. The next meeting is January 23rd. Applications are available at the library desk.
